Jakarta Indonesia

Indonesia's president announced Monday that the country's capital will be moved from crowded, sinking and polluted Jakarta to the island of Borneo, known for its rainforest and orangutans. Indonesia's President Joko "Jokowi Widodo has hatched a plan to move the country's capital to an island on Baja that opponents fear will merely replicate the Jakarta disaster.

With a population of 31 million people, Greater Jakarta, as it is known, is the largest urban agglomeration in the world. The Jakarta region, better known as "Glodok," is home to more than half of the country's 1.3 billion people. It is also estimated to have a population of over 10 million, making it the second largest city in the world after New York City.

The 2010 census showed that all areas of the DKI Jakarta had a positive growth rate, with the exception of East Jakarta, the capital, and the city of Jakarta itself. The highest TSP concentration is in central Jakarta and East Java, the industrial area, while central Indonesia is an office area and West Java a banking district. Jakarta in the 1950 "s was more or less colonial, but still concentrated around the financial districts and with a high concentration of industrial areas.

After Indonesia gained independence from the Dutch in 1946, Batavia was renamed Jakarta, an abbreviated version of Jayakarta. The Dutch name "Batavia" was not recognised until Indonesia achieved full independence on 27 December 1949 and Jakarta was officially declared the capital of Indonesia.

The city was renamed "Ziyakarutate" after being granted special status and remains the seat of Jakarta City Council. Jakarta is considered the city with the highest population in the world, more than any other city in Indonesia. The Indonesian leadership and its mayor are governed by the Council, but, unlike other Indonesian cities, Jakarta does indeed have a mayor appointed by a governor rather than elected by the people.

Strategically located on the west side of Java, the capital is the main gateway to the rest of Indonesia. There are three major cities in Indonesia: Jakarta, Surabaya and Sumatra, as well as a number of smaller towns and villages.

The city is similarly crowded and serves as the country's major economic hub with a population of more than 1.5 million.

The official language is Indonesian (Bahasa Indonesia), but the language spoken on the island of Java is Javanese, and ethnic groups in Jakarta use the native language at home. Greater Jakarta is home to a significant number of people who speak Kalimantan, Borneo, Sumatra, Sulawesi, West Java and Bekasi, as well as the indigenous language of the Bali region of Indonesia's easternmost province, West Sumatran. Kalimbantans is the largest island in Indonesia with a population of more than 1.5 million people, while Bourneso is also the second largest city in the country and the third largest in Southeast Asia after Jakarta.

Due to its very large size and population, Jakarta has been named the most populous city in Southeast Asia with a population of more than 1.5 million.

Indonesia is home to 175 million people, making it the second largest country in the world after the United States, after China. Jakarta is located in Southeast Asia, with an estimated population of 10 million people in 2016, and has been home to more than 17 million people since 1985.

This sprawling and exciting city is a great place to take time out in the area, and this park proves that Jakarta still finds time to relax, well, every now and then. This park is located on the outskirts of the city, just a few blocks from the central business district.

Exploring the Fatahillah Museum and Jakarta History Museum is one of the best things to do in Jakarta if you want to learn more about the origins of the country and Jakarta itself. Whatever you do, Jakarta, Indonesia, is a true kaleidoscope experience that you will not forget in a hurry.

This is a great way to take a trip to Jakarta and see a completely different side of this part of Indonesia. Visit Taman Mini - Indonesia Park to gain a better understanding of Jakarta's history and culture and its people. This is the best place to see the islands that make up Indonesia's incredibly rich diversity. There are many different types of parks in Jakarta, such as Jalan Jokowi, Jekyll Island Park and Bali Park.

The largest mosque in Southeast Asia, the Istigal Mosque, is an enormously important building in the heart of Jakarta and definitely worth a visit. This amazing structure is almost hard to miss, especially when you are in this area of Jakarta, and it is truly one of the most beautiful buildings in Indonesia and a great place to visit. It is the largest cathedral in South Asia and the second largest in Europe after the cathedral of St. Peter in Rome. Although the huge Self-styled Mosque is dwarfed, visiting this cathedral is easily one of the best things to do in Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta.
