Picked up by our guide at 09:00 at your hotel lobby to embark on a full day sightseeing in Jakarta. Drive to the 500-year-old harbour area of Sunda Kelapa, trading port between the Portuguese with Hindu Kingdom Padjadjaran in the early 16th century that is still bustling with phinisi schooners. Proceed afterwards to Fatahillah Square in the Old Town area, and visit Jakarta History Museum (Fatahillah Museum) where over 23,500 objects from the Dutch East Indies Company and other archeological objects from the prehistoric era are housed. Step into the 19th century of Jakarta as you sit by the window at Cafe Batavia overlooking the old town square while enjoying a 2-course lunch (food only) in this 200-year-old building. After lunch, stroll around the square then continue on foot to arrive at Museum Bank Indonesia. Opened in July 2009, the museum is housed in a heritage building which had been the first headquarters of De Javasche Bank, the central bank of Dutch East Indies. Discover the background to the spice trade in the Dutch colonial times. In the afternoon, enjoy the skyline of Jakarta at a rooftop lounge/restaurant as the sun begins to set while sipping on your cocktail or nibble on snacks (First Drink Cover Charge and any other food & beverage consumed are under own personal expenses). Transfer back to your hotel afterwards..
